Job summary

Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, Inc. is seeking a Retail Donor Specialist - Materials Handler Associate to support donated goods operations. You will ensure a great donor experience, safely receive and move donated merchandise, and assist with backroom and DEC workflows in a fast-paced setting.

This role emphasizes donor engagement, safety, productivity, and accuracy, with flexible scheduling including evenings and weekends to meet store needs and donor flow.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in retail, donation intake, production, warehouse, or customer-facing roles preferred but not required.
• Ability to balance donor interactions with operational responsibilities in a fast-paced setting.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors, provide receipts, and ensure a positive donation experience at the site.
• Receive, handle, and move donated goods in backroom operations and DEC.
• Load/unload trailers and organize backroom areas for safe, efficient workflow.
• Operate material handling equipment and follow safety guidelines at all times.
