Goodwill Industries of Middle Tennessee, Inc. is seeking a Retail Donor Specialist - Materials Handler Associate to deliver a positive donor experience while safely receiving, handling, and moving donated merchandise.

This role supports donor engagement, backroom operations, and trailer loading, ensuring an efficient workflow for production and store replenishment. Under store leadership, you will balance donor service, safety, productivity, and accuracy in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience or exposure to donor-facing roles in a retail or nonprofit setting preferred.
• Ability to follow safety guidelines and operational procedures.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and standing for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Greet donors professionally and ensure a welcoming donation experience.
• Receive donated goods following safety and donation guidelines.
• Assist donors with unloading and directing questions to ensure a safe process.
• Load, unload, and stage donated goods, including trailers, following safety standards.
• Operate material handling equipment as trained (e.g., forklift, pallet jack) and maintain clean, organized backroom areas.
• Follow safety policies and report hazards or issues to leadership.
• Maintain a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
