Job summary

Houston Ballet is seeking a Development Process Coordinator – Nutcracker Market to ensure accurate processing of market gifts, pledges, and merchant fees. You will maintain constituent records and support database activities across the Development Department.

The role emphasizes data quality, reporting, and collaboration with staff to record donor transactions on time and support Nutcracker and Spring Market operations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum two years’ experience in data entry and customer service.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal communication and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Windows-based applications and donor databases.
• Tessitura experience a significant plus.
• Detail oriented and able to multi-task under tight deadlines.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Process all Market contributions, pledges, and merchant fees in accordance with established procedures.
• Verify supporting documentation and ensuring gifts are recorded accurately and timely.
• Generate donor acknowledgment letters, receipts, and pledge reminders.
• Create, update, and maintain constituent records in Tessitura.
• Ensure constituent records are coded accurately and consistently according to department standards.
• Perform routine record reviews and data cleanup projects.
• Identify potential duplicate records and submit records for review and merge processing.
• Assist with ongoing database maintenance to support data integrity.
• Communicate identified process issues to management.
• Follow established standards and procedures for database management and gift entry.
• Assist with preparing routine reports and data requests.
• Attend Nutcracker Market and Spring Market for attendance and support.
