Job summary

Grifols Shared Services North America, Inc. is seeking an Operations Manager to lead donor center operations, ensuring safety, compliance, and achievement of production goals. You will supervise frontline staff and align activities with SOPs and regulatory requirements.

This role supports continuity when the Center Manager is absent, managing centers with extensive donor activity and maintaining high facility standards while driving efficiency and profitability.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of related experience in clinical or general business.
• Supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in a medical and/or cGMP regulated environment preferred.
• Experience with plasma or whole blood preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversees donor center operations in the absence of the Center Manager.
• Collaborates with Training and Quality to meet goals.
• Coaches and leads staff through effective feedback to employees.
• Monitors operations and develops action plans to maximize center efficiency; supervises implementation of improvements.
• Responsible for all personnel functions including hiring, assignment and direction of work, development and training, disciplinary actions and record-keeping.
• Partners with the center manager in budget preparation and oversees facility to achieve production targets.
• Actively delegates, monitors, and holds responsible the operations supervisors for their performance.
• Directs and supervises employees; creates and manages work schedules.
• Establishes and maintains ability to perform all tasks within the center; can fulfill production roles when needed.
• Maintains facility cleanliness and equipment in good condition.
• Oversees freezer management and plasma shipments; responds to alarms.
• Ensures compliance with FDA, OSHA, CLIA and cGMP standards.
• Leads donor recruitment campaigns to sustain production levels.
