Job summary

Goodwill of Greater Washington is seeking donation attendants to greet donors, unload donations, and perform inventory and safety tasks. The role emphasizes customer service, accurate donation recording, and keeping the area clean and organized.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience required.
• Ability to read, write and understand basic English for safety and communication.
• Must communicate effectively verbally.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, lift and bend during shifts.
• Will lift up to 50 pounds frequently.
• Multilingual with English proficiency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provides excellent customer service to all guests.
• Greet donors and unload donations safely from vehicles.
• Accurately record donations.
• Lift up to 50 pounds as needed.
• Operate manual and/or power equipment where location allows.
• Keep donation area clean and debris-free.
• Complete donor receipts and provide a copy.
• Sort donated items into designated categories.
• Follow safety and security practices and report hazards.
• Maintain a neat uniform and appearance.
• Assist truck and driver helper load/unload donations.
• Perform general housekeeping and other duties as directed.
