Job summary

Goodwill of Greater Washington is seeking donation attendants to serve as ambassadors, helping donors, greeting guests, and unloading donations from vehicles. The role emphasizes safety, accurate donation recording, and maintaining a clean donation area.

Responsibilities include assisting with loading, sorting items, and providing excellent customer service in a dynamic, outdoors-influenced setting. Training and benefits are provided by the organization.

Qualifications

• A record of strong customer service skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to read/write/understand basic English for safety and coordination.
• Physically capable of walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to operate manual and/or powered equipment as required at location.

Responsibilities

• Provide excellent service to donors and guests.
• Greet donors and assist with unloading donations from vehicles.
• Record donations accurately and issue donor receipts.
• Sort donated items into designated categories and maintain cleanliness of donation area.
• Follow safety and security practices and report hazards.
• Assist with loading/unloading donations for vehicles and perform general housekeeping.
