Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics in Orlando is seeking a Domestic Operations Supervisor to lead the Operations team, manage performance, train staff, and coordinate with service providers globally to ensure timely shipment processing.

This role requires scheduling, route planning, daily supervision, and driving process improvements while upholding safety and customer satisfaction. Freight forwarding experience and AS400/Worldport knowledge are valued; forklift certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent work experience required.
• Minimum of 3-5 years freight forwarding experience.
• Supervisor experience preferred.
• Domestic experience required.
• Forklift Certified, required.
• CW or international experience a plus.
• 1-3 years of progressively responsible supervisory experience and labor scheduling.
• Experience working with AS400/Worldport a plus.
• Strong sense of urgency and attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Excellent time management skills, ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to multi-task in a high volume and fast-paced work environment.
• Employee may be required to work hours other than the set shift hours to facilitate the completion of required work or resolve critical issues.
• Must be available for occasional on-call duty.
• Afterhours and weekend on call periodically, required.

Responsibilities

• Manage warehouse functions: inbound receipts, outbound shipping, storage, stocking, and inventory control.
• Responsible for process improvement, standardization and documentation procedures for all operations shifts.
• Oversee the Operations and Service level of the logistics operations.
• Inventory control and reconciliation of in-house customers.
• Manage daily routes/schedules of shipments and deliveries, track progress and cartage setup over the weekend.
• Manage staff scheduling to maximize productivity and minimize expenses.
• Track and respond to customer emails regarding needs and basic operations.
• Build partnerships with trucking companies, internal/external customers, brokers, sales forces and vendors.
• Supervise daily domestic service and operations related to cartage, freight movement and dispatch quotes.
• Assist in identifying and improving service and operations issues in the station, including on-time delivery and data entry.
• Research and resolve customer problems and complaints on domestic and cartage issues.
• Team Coaching (performance, job assignments, coaching, training).
• Ensure safe working environment through safety programs and procedures.
• Participate in interview and onboarding processes for new teammates.
• Other duties as business demands deem necessary.
