Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking an Operations Manager to lead our domestic and international freight movements, recruit and mentor staff, and drive world-class service. You will align operations with industry trends and measurable metrics to expand profitability and client satisfaction.

The role requires a Bachelor's in logistics or related field, 5+ years in freight forwarding, and proven P&L and leadership experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in logistics or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years international freight forwarding, airfreight and ocean freight experience required.
• 3+ years P&L experience and 3+ years of operations supervisory experience required.
• 3+ years in diversified freight forwarding industry preferred.
• 3+ years International Freight Forward industry experience required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills; excellent written and spoken communication.
• High advanced computer skills; IATA certification and DG certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute the station's operations strategy for AIT.
• Ensure processes and metrics are in place to achieve growth, service and profitability goals.
• Manage and communicate with AIT’s carriers to ensure best value and service.
• Negotiate and enforce Freight Forwarding Carrier Agreements.
• Ensure providers meet SLA terms and service agreements.
• Track performance and develop processes to improve efficiency and reduce lead times.
• Build rapport with clients and identify new opportunities and manage tracking tools.
• Provide coaching and mentoring to staff in a global environment.
• Support key account operations and ensure service execution and reliability.
