Job summary

AIT Worldwide Logistics is seeking a Domestic Agent I to serve as the primary contact for designated customers, handling quotes, tracking, routing and issue resolution across air/ground freight.

You will collaborate with vendors, assist local sales, compile KPI reports, and ensure accurate documentation while supporting high-value shipments and inventory processing in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 0-3 Years Freight Forwarding experience required, 3 -5 years preferred
• Basic math & geography skills
• Read and interpret requests and tariffs, safety rules, and procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills in one-on-one settings
• Analyze numerical data and identify patterns
• SAP or AS400 experience preferred
• MS Office proficiency
• Knowledge of IATA and TSA regulations
• Ability to perform unit conversions and calculations
• Time management to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Quoting, tracking and tracing domestic freight shipments moving via air/ground on a daily basis
• Route freight shipments across multiple transportation modes and services based on client requests
• Proactively communicate with clients regarding status of freight
• Communicate with vendors regarding dispatch, routing and rates
• Assist local sales and domestic offices with air/ground freight issues
• Manage daily on-time and defect codes, carrier re-weights and ensure all masters rated
• Assist in compiling customer KPI reports weekly/monthly
• Ensure paperwork, labeling and scanning for accuracy
• Understand requirements for handling high-value shipments and other special requirements
• Responsible for processing monthly inventory
• All other duties as the business deems necessary
