Job summary

Serco is seeking a SME Software Engineer to support AFLCMC/WAG at Wright Patterson AFB, OH, with a Top Secret/SCI eligible clearance. The role focuses on software architecture, CI/CD integration, and systems-level evaluation for defense programs.

The candidate will interact with prime contractors, perform technical reviews, and ensure compliance with DoD engineering practices while supporting transition to modern software development and security standards.

Qualifications

Active TOP-SECRET clearance with ability to obtain SCI and SAP access; current background investigation within 5 years or under Continuous Vetting.
Master's degree in an engineering discipline with 20+ years of relevant DoD/government/contractor experience.
Minimum 3 years of SAP or SCI experience within the last 5 years.
Ability to travel up to 10% (CONUS)

Responsibilities

Oversee software architecture of CI/CD software pipelines for DoD systems.
Assess interfaces between software, firmware, and hardware.
Participate in software reviews and transition efforts to CI/CD with MBSE support.
Audit contractor software configuration and quality measures.
Review system design architectures and interoperability requirements.
Evaluate test plans and analyze test data for improvement.
