Job summary

Serco is seeking a SME Systems Engineer to support DoD programs at Wright Patterson AFB, OH. The role focuses on aircraft sub-system integration, airworthiness, and electronic warfare, requiring a TOP-SECRET clearance with SCI/SAP eligibility.

You will translate user requirements into system specs, lead analyses, and coordinate with government and industry partners to advance classified capabilities and rapid fielding efforts.

Qualifications

• Active Top-SECRET clearance with ability to obtain/maintain SCI and SAP access.
• Master's Degree in an engineering discipline with a minimum of 20 years relevant DoD/government/contractor experience.
• Minimum 3 years SAP/SCI experience within last 5 years.
• Ability to travel up to 10% (CONUS).

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME in electronic warfare and systems engineering for classified programs.
• Translate operational requirements into contract system documentation.
• Apply systems engineering for hardware/software development, configuration management, and QA.
• Develop engineering strategies/analyses and technical program documents.
• Interface with contractors, vendors, and government reps on engineering activities.
• Assess AFRL tech initiatives to guide investments and transition strategies.
• Develop system-of-systems architectures and digital transformation strategies.
• Implement airworthiness, risk management, and obsolescence tracking processes.
• Evaluate contractor design changes and oversee deficiencies correction.
• Support subsystem and system-level integration and testing, including test plans and result analysis.
