Job summary

Motorola Solutions is seeking an experienced sales professional for an expatriate role located in Japan, with a minimum 3-year assignment. You will lead direct sales to U.S.

Federal DoD accounts, align the portfolio to customer needs, and coordinate a cross-functional team to win key opportunities. The role requires 4+ years in sales or 8+ years total experience in public safety/military, with RF and IP networking knowledge, and the ability to travel 50–75%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 4+ years of sales, customer success, public safety and/or military experience.
• OR 8+ years of sales, customer success, public safety and/or military experience.
• A technical background to include RF communications, First Responder software application platforms (CAD, RMS, E911, Video) strongly desired.
• Prior experience in technical roles selling into or working for the various Department of Defense Services and or Federal Law Enforcement Agencies.
• Excellent communication, sales, and writing skills are required.
• Must have a demonstrated track record of closing major sales.
• An understanding of the proposal process with proposal assembly experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of IP networking, Information Assurance and or Cyber Security a plus.
• Must be a self-motivated problem solver.
• An ideal candidate will be able to help customers envision solutions, services, and applications.
• Solid working knowledge of Salesforce.com, Google Productivity Suite is strongly desired.
• Development and execution of sales and go-to-market strategies in a highly collaborative environment is imperative.
• Must be self-reliant and able to work effectively from a remote office.
• Must be a U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain necessary security clearance as required by government contract.

Responsibilities

• Direct sales of communications systems to U.S. Federal Government DoD accounts in Eastern US region
• Identifies diverse customer needs, and understand how our product portfolio can be applied to satisfy these needs
• Build strong relationships and customer knowledge by understanding the Motorola Solutions business model
• Using the vision, strategy, and tools available, the candidate will become a trusted adviser to the customer and partners
• Candidates will learn, develop, and be capable of clearly articulating account specific strategies for all Motorola solutions
• Develop and enhance strong customer relationships across multiple levels and functions
• Orchestrate and lead the extended Motorola team to understand the account's strategy, business imperatives, and top opportunities
• Allocate appropriate resources, and obtain full collaboration of internal product groups and external partners as necessary to meet the needs of key accounts
