Job summary

Responsibilities include scheduling, KPI attainment, equipment coordination, and clear communication with customers. The role requires leadership, reliability, and the ability to work nights or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent experience; Bachelor preferred.
• Thorough understanding of LTL trucking and basic paperwork flow preferred.
• Prior management, dispatch and dock experience in LTL trucking required.
• Knowledge of local metropolitan area.
• Strong leadership: hire, coach, train, mentor, and terminate employees.
• Team building and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; strong planning and organization.
• Proficient computer skills (AS/400 and MS Office a plus).
• Willing to work 50 hours per week; ability to work nights/weekends and in various weather.
• Ability to lift ~20 lbs; comply with policies; work independently or in a team.
• capable of meeting deadlines; pass pre-employment drug screen and background check; authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and direct dock employees; set targets and monitor performance.
• Manage efficient LTL operation; dock planning and scheduling.
• Enforce company policies, safety rules, and regulations.
• Involved in hiring and termination processes.
• Administer Service Center business plan portions; meet KPIs.
• Utilize enhancement tools and processes; review schedules for efficiency.
• Coordinate equipment movement (trailers/tractors) with others.
• Communicate with customers via phone, fax or email.
• Manage dock paperwork to ensure timely, correct handling.
• Regular attendance; perform other duties as assigned.
