Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines seeks a Supervisory Dock Leader to oversee dock staff, set targets, monitor performance, and coach for development in a safe, efficient L2L operation.

You will manage scheduling, equipment movement, customer communications, and essential dock paperwork, while enforcing company policies. Hiring decisions may be involved, and regular attendance is required; position may include nights/weekends with a 50-hour week.

Qualifications

• Must have strong leadership and team-building abilities.
• Experience in managing dock or transportation operations preferred.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Lead dock employees and set performance targets.
• Monitor KPIs and provide coaching and development.
• Enforce safety policies and government regulations.
• Assist in hiring and termination processes.
• Oversee scheduling, dock planning and equipment movement.
• Communicate with customers by phone, fax or email.
• Manage and ensure timely completion of dock paperwork.
