Job summary

Qualifications

• Requires high school diploma or GED; bachelor degree preferred.
• Prior management, dispatch and dock experience, preferably in LTL trucking.
• Knowledge of local metropolitan area.
• Strong leadership: hire, coach, counsel, train, mentor, terminate.

Responsibilities

• Lead dock employees; set targets and monitor performance.
• Manage efficient, safe LTL operation including dock planning and scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, safety rules and regulations.
• Involved in hiring and termination processes.
• Administer portions of the Service Center Business plan.
• Meet all KPIs and manage daily tool usage.
• Coordinate equipment movement (trailers/tractors) with other supervisors.
• Communicate with customers via phone, fax or email.
• Oversee dock paperwork and ensure timely processing.
