Job summary

Estes-Express-Lines in Indiana seeks a Dock Supervisor to lead dock staff, coordinate scheduling, and drive efficiency in our LTL operation. You will manage daily activities, coach employees, and ensure adherence to safety rules and company policies.

Responsibilities include coordinating with supervisors, overseeing paperwork, and maintaining KPI performance while supporting a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This role requires 50 hours/week and flexibility for nights/weekends.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Understanding of the LTL trucking industry and basic paperwork flow preferred.
• Prior management, dispatch and dock experience required, preferably in LTL trucking.
• Able to work 50 hours/week on varied shifts, including nights/weekends.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct dock employees; set targets, monitor performance, coach, and develop staff.
• Ensure efficient, safe LTL operation including dock planning and scheduling.
• Enforce company policies, safety rules, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in hiring/termination processes and administer terminal business plans.
• Meet KPIs and manage day-to-day use of enhancement tools and processes.
• Coordinate equipment movement (trailers and tractors) with other supervisors.
