Job summary

Estes Express Lines in the United States is seeking a hands-on Dock Operations Supervisor to lead and develop the dock team, set performance targets and monitor results. You will coordinate schedules, ensure safe, efficient LTL operations, and uphold company policies and regulatory requirements.

The role requires prior management or dispatcher experience in LTL trucking, strong leadership and communication skills, and the ability to work long hours, including weekends, to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Thorough understanding of the LTL trucking industry or related field.
• Prior management, dispatch and dock experience required, preferably in LTL trucking.
• Ability to hire, coach, counsel, train, mentor and terminate employees.
• Strong planning, organizational and communication skills.
• Willingness to work 50 hours/week and varied shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead, guide and direct dock employees and set targets.
• Manage dock scheduling to improve efficiency and reduce costs.
• Enforce company safety rules, policies and government regulations.
• Handle hiring, termination processes and employee development.
• Ensure timely, accurate paperwork and KPI achievement.
