Job summary

The Salvation Army Harbor Light System is seeking an HR Generalist to support daily HR operations, ensure compliance, and collaborate with managers across divisions. The role includes payroll coordination, ACA/ESTA tracking, onboarding, and HRIS/ATS system training, while maintaining confidential employee records and generating HR metrics.

The ideal candidate will have an associate degree in HR or related field and 3+ years of HR experience, with proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, TEAMS, and

Qualifications

• Associate degree in human resources, business management, or related field.
• 3+ years’ experience in human resources or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development of HR practices with compliance to standards.
• Conduct departmental audits for compliance and accuracy.
• Process payroll coordination and reporting with HL HR Manager and finance teams.
• Track ACA and ESTA classifications and communicate changes across divisions.
• Coordinate onboarding, offers, and onboarding timelines to ensure timely hiring.
• Train HR staff on HRIS, ATS, TSAMM, ICHAT, CTR, PSOR, and related systems.
• Maintain and audit personnel records for file compliance and reporting.
• Generate reports on HR metrics and assist in recruitment and employee relations.
