Job summary

The Salvation Army is seeking an HR Generalist to support daily HR operations across departments in Harbor Light System, Michigan. You will ensure compliance, assist in HR practices, audits, payroll coordination with the Payroll Coordinator, benefits administration, and employee relations.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in human resources, business management, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of HR experience or equivalent.
• Knowledge of HRIS and ATS systems required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in development and auditing of HR practices ensuring compliance.
• Coordinate payroll-related tasks with Payroll Coordinator for Harbor Light centers.
• Prepare reports and analytics from HRIS/ATS and share with managers.
• Support onboarding, benefits administration, and employee inquiries.
• Maintain confidential employee records and HRIS data accuracy.
