Job summary

Amgen seeks a District Sales Manager for Primary Care in Charlottesville, VA. You will lead district teams, coach personnel, recruit and hire sales staff, and ensure training and regulatory compliance while collaborating with Marketing, Finance and other business units to achieve regional sales goals.

Ideal candidates bring Doctorate or Master’s with extensive sales experience, strong leadership, and a proven ability to develop local relationships with key opinion leaders.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications include Doctorate with 2+ years in Sales/Marketing or Master’s with 6+ years, or Bachelor’s with 8+ years, or Associate’s with 10+ years, or HS diploma with 12+ years and 2+ years of managerial experience.

Responsibilities

Track the progress of marketing messages and programs.
Provide feedback to district teams on marketing, allocations, monitoring, and resource use.
Manage district teams to maximize performance and hit sales and budget targets.
Screen, interview, and hire candidates.
Ensure training compliance and conduct performance reviews.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Finance, other BU) and share best practices.
