Job summary

Amgen's District Sales Manager in the Southern New England district will partner with healthcare professionals to apply clinical knowledge of Amgen medicines and to advance patient care. You will lead district sales efforts, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and develop local relationships with key Opinion Leaders.

The role requires strong sales leadership, a track record in healthcare/biotech sales, and the ability to coach teams, manage resources, and drive business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree plus 2 years of Sales/Marketing experience
• Master’s degree plus 6 years of Sales/Marketing experience
• Bachelor’s degree plus 8 years of Sales/Marketing experience
• Associate’s degree plus 10 years of Sales/Marketing experience
• High school diploma / GED with 12 years of Sales/Marketing experience
• 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leading teams, projects, or allocating resources

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals
• Lead district sales teams to meet/exceed sales and budget targets
• Screen, interview, and hire candidates for district roles
• Collaborate with district and cross-functional teams (Marketing, Finance, other BU)
• Develop local Opinion Leader relationships to achieve objectives
• Conduct district sales meetings and coach teams for performance and development
• Share best practices with direct reports and peers
• Coordinate cluster teams and cross-district initiatives
