Job summary

Amgen is seeking a District Sales Manager to lead customer engagement and provide clinical knowledge of our medicines to medical professionals within the assigned district.

You will collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Finance, and other business units, recruit and develop district teams, and drive sales performance while ensuring compliance with training and company guidelines.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree and 2 years of Sales/Marketing experience.
• Masters degree and 6 years of Sales/Marketing experience.
• Bachelor's degree and 8 years of Sales/Marketing experience.
• Associates degree and 10 years of Sales/Marketing experience.
• High school diploma / GED and 12 years of Sales/Marketing experience.
• 2 years of managerial experience directly managing people and/or leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical knowledge to medical professionals in the district.
• Lead district teams to maximize performance and achieve sales targets.
• Screen, interview, and hire candidates for district roles.
• Ensure training compliance across the district.
• Coach and develop staff for future roles and growth.
• Conduct regular performance reviews and competency assessments.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to share best practices and align objectives.
• Develop local Opinion Leader relationships to support district goals.
