Job summary

Amgen is seeking a District Sales Manager to act as the liaison to customers, providing clinical knowledge of Amgen products to medical professionals. The role emphasizes collaboration across districts and business units, with responsibilities spanning hiring, coaching, and performance management.

Qualified candidates will have 2+ years of managerial experience and advanced degrees, with a track record in sales/marketing and biologics experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Doctorate/Master’s/Bachelor’s or equivalent with extensive sales/marketing experience.
• 2+ years of managerial experience leading teams or projects.
• Ability to recruit and hire sales representatives.

Responsibilities

• Lead district teams to maximize performance and exceed sales targets.
• Screen, interview, and hire sales candidates.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams (Marketing, Finance, other BU).
• Provide feedback on marketing programs and resource allocation.
• Conduct regular district sales meetings and coaching sessions.
• Develop local Opinion Leader relationships to meet objectives.
