Job summary

Kenco Logistics is seeking a Distribution Center General Manager in Port Reading, NJ. You will lead site management, drive safety, quality, and compliance, and implement strategic initiatives to optimize operations and profitability.

You will coach managers, manage KPIs and financials, and foster a Lean culture with kaizen events and continuous improvement, while building strong customer relationships and ensuring operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Logistics or Business field.
• Progressive DC/Warehouse leadership experience.
• Strong people management and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience with labor/workforce management systems (e.g., SAP, Red Prairie, High Jump).
• Six Sigma Black Belt or Green Belt preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Lead activities of site management and personnel to ensure compliance with operating system and policies.
• Maintain safety, operations, quality, financial, legal and regulatory functions on site.
• Develop long-term planning and strategic initiatives for the site.
• Manage site KPIs, BI/CI, efficiency programs, and P&L indices.
• Build strong customer relationships and translate strategic goals to site objectives.
• Coach and mentor site management to ensure sustainability and bench strength.
• Promote Lean culture through 5S, Gemba walks, Kaizen events, and employee involvement.
