Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Community Disaster Program Manager to lead volunteer teams, mobilize partners, and ensure readiness across communities in the Dallas region. This role focuses on disaster cycle services, community preparedness, and regional collaboration to build resilient communities.

Education requirements include a Bachelor's degree and at least five years of experience in mobilizing volunteers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum 5 years building and leading volunteer teams for social services.
• Valid Driver’s License with a clean MVR.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a diverse volunteer team implementing disaster cycle services programming in the assigned area.
• Mobilize partners and engage community stakeholders to enhance readiness and response.
• Develop and support disaster volunteers who reflect community demographics.
• Coordinate disaster readiness, response, and recovery activities across the region.
• Build relationships with internal and external partners to strengthen service delivery.
• Act as subject matter expert on disaster services for the assigned area.
• Plan and deploy disaster relief operations aligned with the Concept of Operations.
• Engage diverse communities and trusted organizations to extend reach.
