Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking a Community Disaster Program Manager to ensure collaboration with Volunteer Services, mobilize partners, and address readiness resources within the Dallas region. You will work with volunteers to ensure communities are prepared to respond to disasters and will deploy regionally at least once per year.

This role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 5+ years leading volunteer teams, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience building, mobilizing, leading and developing volunteer teams.
• Valid driver’s license and clean MVR.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Ability to work outside regular hours including nights and weekends.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Empower Volunteers: Lead and support a diverse volunteer team responsible for disaster services programming.
• Lead the Program: Implement disaster cycle services activities within the region or area.
• Mission Capacity Building: Develop and support disaster volunteers who reflect the communities served.
• Engage Community: Coordinate efforts to prepare and mobilize communities and engage partners.
• Ready to Respond: Initiate and coordinate disaster relief operations in the assigned area.
