Job summary

The American Red Cross seeks a Community Disaster Program Manager to lead volunteer-driven disaster cycle services in the assigned geographic area. You will mobilize partners, ensure readiness resources, and coordinate community engagement to strengthen disaster response capabilities.

Requirements include a Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of experience in building and managing volunteer programs. A valid driver's license and ability to deploy to disaster operations are essential.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience with building, mobilizing, leading and developing volunteer teams to execute a social services program or service.
A Valid Driver’s License and a clean MVR.

Responsibilities

Empower Volunteers: Lead and support a diverse volunteer team responsible for disaster cycle services in the assigned area.
Lead the Program: Implement disaster cycle services activities within the region.
Mission Capacity Building: Develop disaster volunteers and leadership within the community.
Engage Community: Coordinate efforts to prepare and mobilize communities and partners.
