Job summary

American Red Cross is seeking a Community Disaster Program Manager to coordinate disaster readiness activities, mobilize volunteers, and engage community partners across the designated geographic area. You will ensure readiness resources, facilities, and local vendors address gaps and enable effective disaster response.

Regional deployments and ongoing training are required. The role emphasizes collaboration, leadership, and mission-driven service within a humanitarian network that values

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum 5 years of building, mobilizing, leading, and developing volunteer teams for social services programs.
• Valid driver's license with good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Empower volunteers to lead disaster cycle services across the assigned area.
• Lead program activities and functional initiatives within the region.
• Develop and support disaster volunteers reflecting community needs and diversity.
• Engage communities and partners with specialized assets for readiness, response and recovery.
• Build relationships in a matrixed organization to support volunteers and staff.
