Job summary

American Red Cross seeks a Community Disaster Program Manager to lead volunteer-driven disaster cycle services across the assigned geographic area, coordinating with Volunteer Services and community partners to ensure readiness and response preparation.

You will recruit and mentor volunteers, build partnerships, mobilize resources, and deploy to disasters as needed. A bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of leadership experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience building, mobilizing, leading and developing volunteer teams.
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record.

Responsibilities

• Empower and lead a diverse volunteer team implementing disaster cycle services.
• Lead the program by executing disaster cycle activities within the region.
• Develop and support disaster volunteers to meet readiness and response needs across communities.
