Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Disaster Services Manager in Fort Worth, TX. This role leads volunteer teams, coordinates disaster cycle services, and partners with diverse community groups to enhance readiness, response, and recovery activities.

You will drive community engagement, mobilize resources, and oversee program operations to ensure effective disaster relief and preparedness across the assigned area.

Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor’s degree required, or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
• Experience: Minimum 5 years of related experience with building, mobilizing, leading and developing volunteer teams.
• A Valid Driver's License and a clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support a diverse volunteer team responsible for disaster cycle services programming across the assigned geographic area.
• Implement disaster cycle services activities within the region or within the geographic area.
• Develop and support disaster volunteers who are the primary workforce, meeting community needs.
• Engage communities and partners to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.
• Build relationships with trusted organizations to extend reach and trust in the community.
• Initiate and coordinate disaster relief operations in the assigned area or region.
