Job summary

The American Red Cross is seeking a Community Disaster Program Manager to lead volunteer-led disaster cycle services across a geographic area. You will mobilize partners, assess readiness resources, facilities, and local vendors to address gaps and ensure communities are prepared to respond to disasters.

Regional deployments are expected; you will work with volunteers to strengthen readiness, preparedness, response, and recovery, engaging diverse communities and building trusted relationships

Qualifications

• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Experience building, mobilizing and leading volunteer teams.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support volunteer teams delivering disaster cycle services.
• Engage partners and communities to prepare for, respond to, and recover from disasters.
• Collaborate across internal teams in a matrix environment.
