Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Director of the Salesforce Platform to own the enterprise Salesforce ecosystem, setting vision, governance, and investment priorities across FMS, SCS, and RLM.

This leader drives platform health, security, data integrity, and lifecycle management while collaborating across business segments to deliver sustained value. The role chairs the Salesforce CoE, guides distributed teams, and serves as Ryder's relationship owner with Salesforce.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years in progressive technology leadership with responsibility for enterprise platforms, products, or customer-facing business applications.
• 10+ years in leadership of Salesforce or comparable enterprise SaaS/CRM platforms in a large, complex environment.
• 7+ years leading managers and cross-functional teams; establishing or maturing a Salesforce CoE and governance.
• 5+ years in leading Salesforce org/instance rationalization or consolidation, including data, integration, security, and change impacts.
• 5+ years in executive stakeholder management, vendor/commercial negotiations, financial planning, and business-case/benefit realization.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise Salesforce strategy, roadmap, and governance; chair the Salesforce CoE.
• Maintain platform health, security, reliability, and risk management for all Salesforce instances.
• Build durable relationships with Sales Operations, Service, Product, and other stakeholders; translate priorities into enterprise choices.
• Establish and champion best practices, design principles, and configuration/coding standards; lead reviews for quality and security.
• Partner with enterprise architects to define reference architectures, data patterns, and access models.
• Lead platform rationalization, consolidation, and lifecycle management while preserving business continuity.
• Oversee vendor, financial, and investment decisions; own platform financial planning and value realization.
