Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. is seeking a Director of Salesforce Platform to own the enterprise Salesforce program across FMS, SCS, and RLM.

You will set vision, governance, and investment for Salesforce, chair the CoE, and drive platform health, security, and data integrity while partnering with business leaders to deliver value. You will lead a world-class team, craft reference architectures, and ensure compliant, scalable, and innovative solutions that align with Ryder's strategic goals and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related field.
• 10+ years in progressive technology leadership with responsibility for enterprise platforms, products, or customer-facing business applications.
• 10+ years leading Salesforce or comparable enterprise SaaS/CRM platforms in a large, complex, multi-business-unit environment.
• 7+ years leading managers and/or senior professionals; establishing or maturing a Salesforce CoE, platform operating model, governance, and portfolio-management capability.
• 5+ years leading Salesforce org/instance rationalization or consolidation, including business-process, data, integration, security, and change impacts.
• 5+ years executive stakeholder management, vendor/commercial negotiations, financial planning, and business-case/benefit realization.
• Salesforce multi-org strategy, platform architecture, environment strategy, lifecycle, etc.
• Advanced knowledge of Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Experience Cloud, and enterprise integration patterns.
• Identity and access, data governance, privacy, security controls, auditability, resilience, and regulated-enterprise practices.

Responsibilities

• Define enterprise Salesforce strategy, governance, and multi-year roadmaps; chair the Salesforce CoE as a cross-functional operating model.
• Maintain platform health, security, reliability, and risk management across Salesforce instances and environments.
• Build durable relationships with cross-functional leaders; translate competing priorities into enterprise choices.
• Create practical guardrails for configuration, development, integration, data, identity, AI, security, testing, and DevSecOps.
• Establish and champion Salesforce best practices, design principles, and standards; provide guidance without owning delivery.
• Partner with enterprise architects and data leaders on reference architectures, data quality, and API patterns.
• Lead platform rationalization, consolidation, and transition roadmaps preserving continuity and value.
• Oversee vendor, licensing, financial planning, and investment trade-offs for Salesforce.
• Drive cross-functional alignment and accountability across business segments and technology teams.
