GRAEF seeks a Director of Transportation Engineering to provide firmwide leadership for its Transportation Engineering Technical Community. You will report to the CTO and drive technical excellence, collaboration, and staff development while remaining engaged in project work across the firm.

The role emphasizes developing future leaders, shaping technical strategy, and advancing quality across projects with a focus on risk management and client relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• PE license is required or soon-to-be obtained.
• Proven leadership and mentoring abilities for a large technical team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and adoption of firmwide transportation engineering standards and best practices.
• Foster collaboration across offices and connect projects with the right experts.
• Develop people, onboarding, mentoring, and succession planning within the transportation engineering community.
• Shape firm-wide technical strategy, innovation, recruitment, and business development.
• Remain actively engaged in project leadership and technical oversight to ensure high-quality delivery.
