GRAEF is seeking a Director of Transportation Engineering to lead firmwide technical excellence and guide the transportation engineering community. You will promote collaboration, develop future leaders, and influence strategy, recruitment, and client engagement while staying involved in project work and oversight.

The role requires a PE license, a civil engineering degree, and 12+ years of leadership in transportation engineering. Flexible hours with a hybrid schedule are offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license required.
• Minimum 12 years of transportation engineering experience.
• Strong leadership, communication and mentoring skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead firmwide technical standards, best practices, quality processes.
• Promote collaboration across offices and connect projects with expertise.
• Develop onboarding, mentoring and succession planning within the community.
• Shape technical strategy, recruit, plan and pursue new business.
• Remain engaged in project work with technical oversight and risk management.
