GRAEF is seeking a Director of Transportation Engineering to provide firmwide leadership for its Transportation Engineering Technical Community. This role reports to the Chief Technical Officer and focuses on advancing technical excellence, improving quality, and fostering collaboration across offices.

You will also shape the future by guiding strategy, recruiting, and developing the next generation of transportation engineers while remaining engaged in project work and oversight of complex

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering (required).
• Professional Engineer (PE) license (required).
• Minimum of 12 years of transportation engineering experience.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and team mentoring abilities.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills; commitment to staff development.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development and implementation of firmwide technical standards and quality processes for transportation engineering.
• Promote cross-office collaboration and connect projects with appropriate expertise.
• Mentor and develop future leaders within the Transportation Engineering Technical Community.
• Partner with firm leadership on strategy, recruitment, and business development, including client relationships.
• Remain engaged in project work, providing oversight and guidance on complex, high-impact projects.
