GRAEF is seeking a Director of Transportation Engineering to provide firmwide leadership for its Transportation Engineering Technical Community. The role reports to the CTO and focuses on advancing technical excellence, quality, collaboration, and developing future leaders, while remaining involved in project work and client pursuits.

You will lead standards development, promote cross-office collaboration, mentor staff, and shape strategy and investment in emerging capabilities within

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license is required.
• Minimum of 12 years of transportation engineering experience.
• Demonstrated technical and leadership experience is essential.
• Strong communication, collaboration and mentoring skills are expected.
• Passion for technical excellence, quality and staff development.

Responsibilities

• Lead firmwide technical standards, best practices and quality processes.
• Promote collaboration across offices and connect projects with experts.
• Develop onboarding, mentoring and succession planning within the community.
• Shape technical strategy, recruiting, business planning and development.
• Remain engaged in project leadership and provide oversight on complex programs.
