GRAEF is seeking a Director of Transportation Engineering to provide firmwide leadership for the Transportation Engineering Technical Community. You will drive technical excellence, quality, and collaboration while staying engaged with project work and client pursuits.
The role emphasizes developing future leaders, shaping strategy, and partnering with leadership on technology investments and business growth within transportation engineering.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Minimum of 12 years of transportation engineering experience.
- Demonstrated technical and leadership experience.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
- Passion for technical excellence, quality, and staff development.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of firmwide technical standards and quality processes.
- Promote collaboration and work-sharing across offices within the Transportation Engineering Technical Community.
- Support onboarding, mentoring, technical training, and succession planning.
- Partner with firm leadership on technical strategy, innovation, recruiting, and business development.
- Remain actively engaged in project work through leadership, design, and technical oversight.
