GRAEF is seeking a Director of Transportation Engineering to provide firmwide leadership for the Transportation Engineering Technical Community. You will lead technical excellence, collaborate across offices, and mentor the next generation of leaders while staying engaged in project work.
This role shapes technical strategy, supports business development, and guides investment in emerging technologies to elevate the firm’s transportation practice.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license.
- Minimum of 12 years of transportation engineering experience.
- Demonstrated technical and leadership experience.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and mentoring skills.
- Passion for technical excellence, quality, and staff development.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of firmwide technical standards and quality processes for transportation engineering.
- Promote collaboration and work-sharing across offices and connect projects with the right experts.
- Develop people and future leaders through onboarding, mentoring, and training.
- Shape firm strategy, invest in emerging technologies, and support client relationships and pursuits.
- Remain actively engaged in project work, providing design oversight and risk management.
