Job summary

HDR, Inc. seeks an experienced leader to direct the Transportation Business Group's Alternative Delivery programs. You will drive project approvals, negotiate terms, and coordinate with HDR Legal, Risk, and regional leads to deliver large civil infrastructure projects using design-build and P3 delivery.

The role requires 15+ years of engineering leadership, a PE license, and strong client relationship skills. Travel up to 50% is expected as projects span multiple states.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering
• Minimum 15+ years of professional engineering experience on large transportation infrastructure projects
• Professional registration/PE status for leadership roles
• Ability to travel up to 50% of time
• Demonstrated ability to lead diverse teams and manage client relationships

Responsibilities

• Lead pursuit and delivery of Alternative Delivery projects.
• Drive approvals in compliance with HDR policy and risk committee.
• Coordinate with HDR Legal on contract terms and with Risk Committee input.
• Foster collaboration across Transportation Business Group leadership and regional leads.
• Engage with clients on upcoming projects and build contractor relationships.
• Participate in state/national organizations to elevate HDR visibility.
• Report on Transportation Delivery status and HDR Matrix collaboration.
• Occasionally serve as Principal-in-Charge for selected projects or contracts.
