Job summary

Project Hospitality seeks a Social Services Supervisor to lead Case Managers, Recreation Coordinators, and Housing Specialists at The Richmond shelter in Staten Island, NY. The role focuses on coordinating social services delivery and program operations.

The ideal candidate holds a Master’s in Social Work (LMSW/LCSW preferred) with supervisory experience and strong communication skills, capable of managing workload priorities and diverse projects in a fast-paced shelter environment.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Social Work, with LMSW/LCSW preferred.
• Supervisory experience and ability to establish workload priorities and balance diverse projects.
• Exceptional communication skills, both oral and written, with individuals and groups regarding complex and sensitive issues or regulations.
• Physical ability to perform essential job functions.
• Willingness to perform duties required to meet program and client needs.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and train the Case Managers, Recreation Coordinators, and Housing Specialists.
• Ensure delivery of social services and entitlements to shelter residents, including health care and mental health services.
• Work cooperatively with Case Managers, Housing Specialists, and Residential Aide staff on all details of social service delivery.
• Provide supervision per agency policy and recommend hiring, firing, and performance evaluations of Social Service staff.
• Act as liaison with agencies providing services to residents and represent the agency at interagency council meetings.
• Implement on-site programming with the Shelter / Program Director, including parenting, housing readiness, and other in-house programs and design curriculum for group work.
• Report to regulatory agencies on an ongoing basis.
• Provide 24/7 on-call support to program staff as needed.
