Job summary

Project Hospitality in Staten Island, NY is seeking a Shelter/Program Director for The Richmond program. This full-time role requires a Master’s degree in Social Work (or related) and at least four years in homeless services or related fields, with two years in supervision.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Social Work (or related) required.
  • Minimum of four years’ experience in homeless services, substance abuse, and/or mental health treatment.
  • Minimum of two years of administrative and/or supervisory experience.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer and fiscal skills to respond to external regulators and internal needs.
  • Professional conduct and ethical standards.
  • Physical ability to perform essential job functions.
  • Perform duties to meet program and client needs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and facilitate operations; maintain effective communication with staff; provide clinical consultation as needed.
  • Manage human resources: staffing, orientation, evaluations, credentialing, staff development.
  • Monitor budget preparation and expenses; authorize requisitions under $1000.
  • Represent the program in marketing and community relations.
  • Participate in quality improvement, program evaluation, and reporting.
  • Ensure compliance with OTDA regulations; attend meetings with DHS.
  • Oversee facility maintenance and equipment inventories.
  • Supervise staff meetings and ensure timely reporting.
