Job summary

Project Hospitality on Staten Island seeks a Shelter/Program Director for The Richmond DHS Adult Family Shelter Program. You will lead program operations, supervise staff, and ensure trauma-informed service delivery to adults experiencing homelessness.

The role requires a Master’s in Social Work (or related field), 4+ years in homeless services, and strong administrative and budget-management skills. This is a full-time, on-site leadership position with regulatory compliance responsibilities and

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work or related field; strong communication skills.
• Min 4 years in homeless services, substance abuse, or mental health treatment.
• Min 2 years admin/supervisory experience with clinical skills.
• Expertise in housing-first, trauma-informed approaches and harm reduction.

Responsibilities

• Provide clinical consultation and crisis intervention as required.
• Oversee staffing and ensure agency policies are followed.
• Recruitment and staff development in line with plans.
• Monitor program budget and expenditures with the Office Manager.
• Ensure timely completion of reports and compliance with DHS/OTDA regulations.
• Attend meetings with DHS and other agencies as directed.
