Job summary

Archimedes is seeking a Director, Proposals to lead and grow a team of proposal development and management professionals responsible for preparing strategic customer-focused proposals and related sales documents for diverse client audiences.

The Director will oversee both written components and financial outcomes, including methodologies used to develop proposal savings estimates and guarantees, and will assist in staffing, recruiting, and developing talent to meet goals and priorities.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive experience in business proposal development.
• 2+ years of leadership experience with a proven ability to develop high-performing teams and deliver tangible results in a professional services environment.
• 2+ years of experience in the health plan, PBM, or healthcare industry.
• Large project management experience.

Responsibilities

• Analyze opportunities to ensure effective use of proposal resources.
• Oversee proposal content library and templates for accuracy and up-to-date information.
• Support Sales with consultative guidance on development and execution of targeted strategies to enhance competitive advantage.
• Lead Archimedes client acquisition and retention efforts specific to RFPs and related sales documents.
• Provide guidance to staff on performance guarantees and best practices.
• Oversee financial savings model outcomes and performance guarantee offerings for RFPs.
• Identify performance guarantee risks and trends.
• Ensure collaboration between Proposal team and subject matter experts across the enterprise.
• Support project coordination including planning, scheduling, organizing, and reporting.
• Maintain knowledge of the company’s sales strategies and market trends to meet client needs.
• Provide leadership to direct reports to achieve aligned results.
• Lead and inspire high-performing teams by directing talent and resources with organizational goals.
• Mentor and develop team members, building a pipeline of future leaders.
• Foster accountability and continuous improvement to deliver innovative, high-quality solutions.
• Adhere to and support compliance, people and culture, and learning programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, English, Journalism, Communications, or related field
