Job summary

CVS Health is seeking an Engineering Leader to guide cross-functional teams in HR Technology, defining platform strategy, delivering scalable internal platforms, and driving DevOps excellence with a focus on AI/ML integration. The role emphasizes cost control, security, and reliable delivery in a fast-paced environment.

The Lead Director will mentor engineers, collaborate with product and architecture teams, and manage budgets to accelerate delivery while upholding quality and compliance

Qualifications

• 10+ years leading large software/engineering programs.
• 8+ years leading matrix teams.
• 4+ years partnering with architecture, product and PMO.
• 4+ years leading discovery sessions and enablement activities.
• 2+ years coordinating cross-functional software teams.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive platform strategy across portfolios.
• Build and scale internal platforms, golden paths, self-service tools.
• Lead CI/CD, IaC, GitOps, and DevSecOps to embed security & observability.
• Partner with product, architecture and stakeholders on scalable solutions.
• Mentor and lead cross-functional teams, manage cloud spend and vendor relations.
• Track engineering metrics and governance, including DORA metrics and MTTR.
• Evaluate and integrate AI/ML tools and cloud-native services.
