Job summary

Reworld Waste seeks a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the Electrical Design Engineering team across North America. You will oversee high-, medium-, and low-voltage systems, and mentor SMEs while aligning capital projects with FEL processes and corporate standards.

This role partners with Plant Support, Sourcing, PMO, Operations, and Regional Engineering, traveling ~30% to support 30+ facilities and drive capital and maintenance reinvestment exceeding hundreds of millions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering/Science in Electrical Engineering required.
• 15–20 years of electrical engineering experience with 5+ years in leadership.
• Experience in industries such as data centers, power, or architectural engineering firms.

Responsibilities

• Manage and prioritize work across the Electrical Engineering team and SMEs.
• Lead electrical infrastructure design for capital projects.
• Oversee technical programs of strategic importance to the company.
• Develop and maintain electrical specifications and design standards library.
• Provide engineering support to operations and evaluate technology upgrades.
• Engage external engineering partners to deliver sound electrical designs.
• Lead front-end loading (FEL) activities for capital projects and align with FEL processes.
• Coach and mentor SMEs and drive best practices.
• Lead feasibility studies evaluating total cost of ownership for new or retrofit designs.
