Job summary

Reworld is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the Electrical Design Engineering team across North America, guiding high- and mid-/low-voltage infrastructure for energy-from-waste facilities. The role emphasizes design leadership, collaboration with site teams, and managing capital projects exceeding significant reinvestment budgets.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Engineering/Science in Electrical Engineering from an accredited institution.
• 15–20 years in electrical engineering with at least 5 years in leadership.
• Experience with MV/HV systems and large industrial facilities.

Responsibilities

• Discipline/Design Engineering: Manage, prioritize, and assign work across the Electrical Engineering team and SMEs.
• Capital Projects: Lead electrical infrastructure design engineering for capital projects.
• Technical Programs: Lead technical programs of strategic importance to the company.
• Technical Standards: Develop, maintain, and continuously improve electrical specifications and standards library.
• Operations Support: Provide engineering support to operations, including evaluation and upgrades.
• External Engineering Partners: Engage and manage outside engineering firms to deliver technically sound designs.
