Job summary

Reworld Waste is seeking a Director of Electrical Engineering to lead the Electrical Design Engineering team across 30+ North American facilities. You will oversee high- and medium-voltage systems, drive capital projects, and ensure strong collaboration with cross-functional partners.

This role travels ~30% and reports to the VP of Engineering. The ideal candidate has 15–20 years in electrical engineering with leadership experience and a PE license is preferred.

Qualifications

• 15–20 years of experience in an electrical engineering role with leadership experience.
• Experience with MV/HV systems, switchgear, transformers, and protective relaying.
• Proven ability to manage technical teams and deliver across project lifecycles.

Responsibilities

• Direct electrical design for energy-from-waste facilities across 30+ sites.
• Lead capital projects from conception through start-up with FEL alignment.
• Develop and maintain electrical design standards and specifications.
• Mentor SMEs and collaborate with cross-functional teams across the organization.
