Job summary

Brookdale Senior Living seeks an experienced food service leader to direct all dining operations across a community, ensuring nutritious menus, cost control, and regulatory compliance. You will supervise kitchen and dining staff, coordinate with chefs and dietitians, and manage budgets and vendor relations to deliver high-quality resident experiences.

Qualifications

• College degree in food service or hospitality management (preferred).
• Minimum of eight years of progressive experience in food service with at least 3 years in supervisory role.
• Current ServSafe Certification required.

Responsibilities

• Directs food service operations within the community, including food prep, dining room operations, and delivery.
• Hires, trains and manages all supervisory staff for kitchen, dining, catering and delivery services.
• Develops menus with chefs, considering residents' dietary needs and preferences.
• Develops department budget including purchasing and staffing expenditures and monitors cost controls.
• Encourages social engagement through food presentation and events; negotiates with vendors and regional directors for improvements.
