Job summary

Brookdale is seeking an experienced food service leader to direct all dining operations for a community. You will manage kitchen and dining room staffing, budgeting, and menu planning to ensure high-quality meals for residents.

You will work with dietitians and care teams to meet nutritional needs, while driving cost controls and ensuring compliance with health regulations. This role emphasizes resident satisfaction and operational excellence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in food service or hospitality management or equivalent required.
• ServSafe Certification required or able to obtain; knowledge of local health regulations.
• Minimum eight years of progressive food service experience with supervisory responsibilities.

Responsibilities

• Directs overall food service operations across kitchen, dining room, and delivery services.
• Hires, trains and supervises kitchen and dining staff; ensures safe, sanitary operations.
• Develops and manages department budget; monitors inventory and purchasing to control costs.
• Plans menus in collaboration with chefs and dieticians to meet residents' nutritional needs.
• Engages with residents to tailor dining experiences and events; ensures high resident satisfaction.
